What Is A Prepaid Card? PDF Print E-mail
A prepaid card is a payment card that can be loaded with money by you or someone else. They look just like a normal credit or debit card and they have a card number, signature strip and chip.

But prepaid cards are unlike credit cards, which provide you with a line of credit. They are also very different from debit cards that are linked to a bank account with an overdraft facility. This is because you can't borrow money with a prepaid card - you can only spend the money you have loaded onto it. The OnePay Prepaid MasterCard® can be used anywhere in the world that accepts MasterCard® and/or Maestro®.

How Can I Use A Prepaid MasterCard® card?

You use your card in exactly the same way as you would a credit or debit card:

  • In Shops : Just hand the card to the shop assistant or insert it into the 'card reader' then when requested enter your PIN.
  • Telephone Ordering : Simply give the card details to the person taking your order.
  • Mail Order : Fill in the card details on the order form.
  • ATM's/Cash Machines : Insert the card and enter your PIN. Select the amount of cash required.
